Overview

The Sommelier is responsible for delivering expert wine service and curation within HAUS. This role enhances the dining experience by guiding members through the wine list and managing the cellar with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities

Wine Service

• Provide tailored wine recommendations to members based on taste and menu pairing.

• Serve wines with correct presentation, temperature, and etiquette.

• Deliver confident and engaging wine service during lunch, dinner, and events.

Cellar Management

• Maintain wine inventory, including ordering, rotation and storage.

• Ensure accurate cellar records and work within agreed cost margins.

• Oversee glassware, decanters and wine service equipment.

Knowledge & Training

• Stay current on wine trends, producers, and vintages.

• Lead training sessions for FOH team on wine knowledge and service.

• Support wine events and tastings as required.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef to ensure optimal pairings.

• Contribute to seasonal wine list development.

• Engage VIP members and collectors in exclusive allocations and offers.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Recognised sommelier qualification (e.g., WSET Level 3 or CMS).

• Extensive knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and pairings.

• Experience working in luxury hospitality or fine dining.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail in service and cellar management.

• Confidence, professionalism, and member-focused approach.
