HSE Specialist

General Description:

The role is responsible for implementing and maintaining Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) programs at assigned warehouse or projects.

The role ensures compliance with company standards, customer requirements, applicable regulations, and international management system standards, while driving continuous improvement, risk management, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain HSE policies, standards, and procedures across assigned operations and sites.

• Coordinate HSE training programs and maintain training records.

• Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and legal compliance assessments, including follow-up actions.

• Support incident reporting, investigation, risk assessments, and corrective actions.

• Support emergency preparedness, crisis management, and business continuity activities.

• Ensure compliance with dangerous goods and other applicable operational safety requirements.

• Provide recommendations and reports to support continuous improvement of HSE performance.

• Prepare periodic HSE reports as required.

• Liaise with relevant stakeholders, customers, contractors, and authorities on HSE matters.

• Other assignments as requested by the Line Manager.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of HSE principles.

• Understanding of ISO standards and applicable legal/regulatory requirements.

• Audit, inspection, and corrective action management skills.

• Risk assessment and incident investigation capability.

• Strong communication, training, and stakeholder management skills.

• Analytical thinking and continuous improvement mindset.

• Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Quality, HSSE, Compliance, or related operational roles.

• Experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, manufacturing, or a similar environment is preferred.

• Professional certifications related to ISO, Quality, Safety, or Environmental Management are an advantage.

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Willingness to travel between assigned sites if required.
