Supplier Quality Engineer

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB:

• Ensure suppliers consistently meet quality requirements through performance monitoring, audits, and compliance with quality management systems.

• Lead supplier corrective actions (SCAR/8D) and drive effective root cause analysis to prevent defects from impacting manufacturing.

• Participate in NPI, supplier qualification, and engineering changes to ensure risks are identified and effectively controlled at the supplier level.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with suppliers, engineering, and operations to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall supplier capability.

1.Supplier Quality 40% 1.1 Continue to develop the Supplier Quality Program.

1.2 Qualify suppliers through the review of quality surveys,

quality manuals and on site assessments.

1.3 Conduct trainings for Suppliers when necessary.

1.4 Technical interface between engineering and suppliers.

1.5 Supplier Development – Responsible in search for new

suppliers and continuous improvement of existing

suppliers.

1.6 Monthly quality reports and other reports required by the

company

2.Handling of 20% 2.1 Handle and monitor the nonconforming issues with

Quality issues suppliers.

2.2 Manage supplier NCR database and generate supplier

quality reports.

2.3 Manage Supplier Corrective Action (SCAR) process,

(send SCAR’s and do follow-ups).

3.RTV handling 20% 3.1 Root cause is quickly determined and a corrective

action plan Implemented.

3.2 Cycle time for closing RTV is reduced.

3.3 RTV trends are monitored daily, weekly and monthly.

3.4 Escaping PPMs are reduced.

4.Technical 10% 4.1 Frequently interacts supervisors of functional groups,

support gain cooperation of others, conduct presentation of

technical information

4.2 Review non-conforming parts from suppliers.

4.3 Provide FA assistance to Engineering and Buyer

4.4 Assist engineering and manufacturing with statistical

analysis.

4.5 Involve audits where applicable such as internal audits,

customer audits and audit by 3rd parties

5. Others 10% 5.1 Support other functions assigned by Supervisor

• Educational Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science Background preferably in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.

• At least 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or related roles in an international manufacturing environment.

• Experience working with supplier quality processes, including NCR, SCAR, and CAPA.

• Hands-on experience with supplier quality tools (FMEA, SPC, 5 Whys), structured problem solving and ISO auditor.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications to support supplier quality evaluation and issue resolution.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Be able to communicate and write in English.
