I. JOB SUMMARY
The Production Manager will lead and oversee all manufacturing operations at the plant, ensuring high efficiency, safety, and strict adherence to quality standards for apparel accessories (woven labels, heat transfer prints, care labels, and RFID solutions). This role acts as a vital bridge between local factory operations and Japanese senior management, driving continuous improvement (Kaizen/5S) and optimizing production lines.
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Production Operations & Planning Management
• Develop, execute, and monitor master production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and customer demands.
• Optimize production workflows, machine utilization, and labor allocation to increase efficiency and reduce waste (Lean/Kaizen).
• Manage operational KPIs including output, yield rate, downtime, and cost control.
2. Quality, Safety & Compliance (HSE)
• Ensure strict compliance with international manufacturing and environmental standards (such as FSC, OEKO-TEX, Sedex, Higg Index) maintained by the company.
• Enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations across the plant to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with the QC department to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
3. Team Leadership & Personnel Management
• Manage, train, and evaluate production supervisors, engineers, and operators (spanning multi-shift operations).
• Build training programs to upskill workers, promote internal succession, and foster a disciplined, proactive working culture.
• Resolve operational bottlenecks, personnel conflicts, and handle urgent plant issues efficiently.
4. Communication & Reporting
• Serve as the primary linguistic and operational bridge, coordinating closely with Japanese managers, the parent company, and other internal departments (Sales, Supply Chain, Maintenance).
• Report production performance, cost metrics, and strategic improvement proposals directly to the General Director.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration,
Manufacturing Management, or related technical fields.
• Language Proficiency:
• Japanese: Fluent (JLPT N2 or above), capable of direct daily communication with Japanese management and reading technical reports.
• English: Good working proficiency for documentation and cross- functional communication.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in production management/plant operations leadership, preferably within foreign-invested enterprises (FDI/Japanese manufacturing environments).
• Background in garment accessories, printing, packaging, textile materials, or precision manufacturing is a strong advantage.
• Skills & Knowledge:
• Deep understanding of production management techniques
(Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills under high-pressure environments.
• Good command of data analysis and reporting tools.
