ABOUT THE ROLE

The CIO will be one of the key leadership positions, playing a critical role in shaping the Group’s next phase of growth.

The position will lead the full investment lifecycle, from investment research and thesis development, opportunity origination, due diligence and transaction execution to capital allocation, portfolio management and post-investment value creation.

The CIO will work closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Management on major investment decisions and provide strategic direction for the Group’s investment portfolio.

Success in this role will be measured by the quality of investment decisions, capital efficiency and long-term portfolio value

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Investment Strategy & Capital Allocation

* Lead the development and continuous refinement of investment strategy, portfolio direction and capital allocation priorities.

* Evaluate and recommend capital allocation/reallocation across sectors, businesses, assets and investment stages to maximize long-term value.

* Regularly review portfolio structure and advise the Board and Executive Management on capital raising, restructuring, partnerships, holding or divestment decisions.

2. Market Research & Investment Opportunities

* Lead macroeconomic, industry, market and company research to identify trends, growth drivers, investment opportunities and risks.

* Develop investment theses and build a high-quality investment pipeline aligned with the Group’s strategy.

* Provide independent, data-driven investment recommendations supported by strong analytical capabilities and sound investment judgment.

3. Investment & M&A

* Lead the full transaction lifecycle, including sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, negotiation, approval and closing.

* Coordinate internal teams, subsidiaries, partners and external advisors on large-scale or complex transactions.

* Present, challenge and defend investment theses and proposals before the Board, Executive Management.

4. Portfolio Management & Value Creation

* Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance against investment theses, business objectives and committed capital.

* Work closely with portfolio companies to enhance business performance and enterprise value through strategic initiatives, capital structure, operating models and governance.

* Proactively recommend capital injection, restructuring, partnership, divestment or changes to investment strategy when required.

5. Leadership & Investment Ecosystem

* Act as a trusted investment advisor to the Board and Executive Management while maintaining independent judgment on key investment decisions.

* Build and leverage relationships with investment funds, financial institutions, strategic partners and advisory firms to develop investment opportunities and resources.

* Build and develop a high-performing investment team, strengthen succession planning and establish disciplined investment processes and decision-making frameworks.
