Legal Manager

Purpose of the role

The Legal Manager is to oversee the company's legal and compliance matters, provide practical legal advice to business teams, manage commercial contracts, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead the Legal team in supporting business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory

• Provide legal advice to Management and business functions on daily operations and strategic projects.

• Assess legal risks and recommend practical solutions that balance compliance and business needs.

• Support legal decision-making and escalate high-risk matters when required.

Contracts & Compliance

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts in both Vietnamese and English.

• Manage the contract review process and improve contract templates, policies, and legal guidelines.

• Monitor legal and regulatory changes and ensure company compliance.

• Advise on personal data protection, intellectual property, corporate governance, and other compliance matters.

Dispute & Regulatory Management

• Handle commercial disputes, labor matters, claims, and debt recovery cases.

• Liaise with government authorities on licensing, inspections, and regulatory matters.

• Coordinate with external law firms when necessary.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop the Legal team.

• Allocate work, review legal outputs, and ensure timely, high-quality support to the business.

• Prepare regular reports on legal, compliance, and dispute matters.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Bachelor's degree in Law.

• Valid Vietnamese Lawyer Practicing Certificate is required.

• At least 7 years of legal experience, including 2 years in a managerial or team leadership role.

• Experience in FMCG, trading, retail, logistics, or e-commerce field.

• Strong experience in commercial contracts, compliance, corporate legal matters, and dispute resolution.

• Business-oriented mindset with strong legal judgment and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluent in English.
