Custom & Freight Specialist

YOUR ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Customs & Freight Specialist to manage and coordinate international and domestic freight operations in Vietnam. The role requires strong knowledge of freight processes, documentation, service provider coordination, and logistics reporting. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and Vietnamese, detail-oriented, and capable of ensuring compliance, cost accuracy, and on-time logistics execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and manage international and domestic freight operations, including air, ocean, and road transportation, to ensure timely import and export shipments.

• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, customs authorities, logistics providers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution and timely cargo delivery.

• Prepare, review, and provide customs documentation for customs brokers and authorities, including customs exemption dossiers, customs reports, shipping documents, and other supporting documents required for customs clearance.

• Coordinate inbound truck arrangements with forwarding companies and ensure all freight documentation is complete and accurate prior to cargo movement.

• Reconcile material receipts with purchase documents, Bills of Lading/Air Waybills, customs declarations, and warehouse records to ensure inventory and customs data accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, local logistics regulations, and international trade compliance standards.

• Monitor shipment status and customs clearance progress, proactively resolving delays, discrepancies, and logistics service issues to minimize operational impact.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Experience & Knowledge

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in customs and freight operations, preferably in an international trade environment.

• Strong understanding of customs processes, regulations, and operational requirements.

• In-depth knowledge of customs documentation and their commercial and regulatory significance.
