Test Engineer

Task 1: Hardware-focused

- Design, integrate, and maintain optical & opto-electronic test systems (fixtures, PCB, instrumentation).

- Develop and upgrade hardware platforms for production testing across global manufacturing sites.

- Perform hardware integration with custom-designed circuit boards and mechanical fixtures.

- Troubleshoot electrical systems, test stations, and automation equipment.

- Create and maintain hardware documentation (schematics, layouts, BOM, work instructions).

- Collaborate with automation and software teams to improve test system performance and reliability.

- Support test system validation, calibration, and lifecycle management.

- Ensure compliance with EHS, 5S, and equipment safety standards.

Task 2: Failure Analysis-focused

- Perform electrical & optical testing analysis to evaluate product quality and yield.

- Analyze test data using statistical tools (e.g., GRR, Cpk), and document findings in FACA reports.

- Identify critical quality parameters and drive root cause analysis for failures.

- Build and optimize test plans, validation protocols, and data interpretation frameworks.

- Collaborate with global teams to improve automated testing strategy and data utilization.

- Generate reports, dashboards, and insights for continuous process improvement.

- Support TQM initiatives and Quality/Environmental Management Systems.

Education:

Required: B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field

Experience:

Required: Minimum 2 years in test and measurement

Preferred: 2–5 years in engineering with expertise in high-speed testing and design

Skills & Abilities

Required:

• Able to communicate in English

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication skills for global collaboration

• Proficiency in MS Office tools

Preferred:

• Experience with SI/RF/microwave test equipment and transmission line theory

• PCB design and electromagnetic simulation tools

• Lean/Six Sigma certification (Yellow/Green Belt)
