Vision Engineer

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Research and design programs for automation machines, especially those that use vision inspection or vision to support robot

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Development process concept for new vision inspection device. Design PLC program for automation system, coding C++ for robotic and Vision system. New technology study & develop to apply in production

• Design process, workflow for inspection machine

• Building electrical hardware and programming control software for Automation machine

• Research and development programs for robots, high-speed microprocessor programs, image analysis programs using CCD sensor

• Build detail requirement & co-operate with outside supplier to design machine.

• Build operation instructions for production line, machine setting condition document

• Join building machine, debug, adjustment & improvement process with supplier or pilot team

• Mass trial run & mass production machine readiness preparation. Continue follow up the production feedback after MP running.

• Study, research new technology to apply to production machine, equipment

2. Trouble shooting & problem solving for all related issue of quality, technical due to machine, jig tool assembly on production line during the trial & pre-MP phase

• Troubleshooting to ensure the operation of equipment, machine Diagnose, analyse for trouble, error arising on production line

3. Continue improvement for quality up, productivity up & reduce production cost

• Co-operate with process engineer, production & quality team to improve capability, ability & performance of current MP equipment, machine.

• New machine design feedback to solve current machine chronic issue (quality & productivity)

4. Equipment, BOM list, I/O map management

• Release BOM list and making assembly diagram to order part to build up machine

• Ensure I/O map latest version & correspond with actual machine condition

5. Support to supplier to solve issue during setup or trial new machine & new process

6. Clearly understand self’s and section’s goals to make contribution to obtain quality and delivery goals.

7. Be accountable for the compliance to rules, procedures, and requirement in terms of:

• 6S & KAIZEN

• Environmental Health Safety

• EICC & Social Responsibility

• Protection of company assets

8. Understand, support, and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.

9. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED: • At least 3 years experiences

PREFERRED: • Work experience in manufacture company or machine, automation design (work at position like: Automation engineer, programming engineer who experience Vision engineer,

programming PLC, Coding C++, microcontroller for automation machine or robot

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

REQUIRED: 1. Be able to read & create technical documents, DWG

2. Good knowledge at manufacturing processes

3. Good knowledge at automation equipment

4. Be able design PLC program, Robot program, Vision system, C++ coding

5. Being good at Office SW (MS Word, excel, Power point)

6. Can speak English (can speak Japanese is advantage)

10. Hard work, able to work overtime when needed
