1. Job Objective

We are seeking a senior academic leader capable of leading school’s high school program at system level, covering curriculum strategy and quality, student academic outcomes, academic and career counselling, university preparation, and university partnerships.


This is not a conventional single-school curriculum leadership position. The successful candidate should be able to think and operate across multiple schools, translate strategy into scalable academic systems, and influence school leaders and specialist teams across the organisation.

1. Professional Experience

• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in K–12 education, high school academic leadership, and/or university and career guidance.

• At least 3–5 years in a senior leadership position, such as:

o High School / Secondary Principal

o Director of Academics / Academic Director

o High School Program Director

o Director of Curriculum & Instruction

o Head/Director of College & Career Counselling with substantial academic leadership responsibilities

o Equivalent system-level educational leadership role.

• Demonstrated experience leading or managing academic programs beyond an individual classroom or subject area.

• Strong experience with high school curriculum, assessment, academic pathways, and student outcomes.

• Demonstrated understanding of university admissions pathways, preferably covering both domestic and international destinations.

• Experience leading and developing academic professionals and influencing school leadership teams.

2. Education

• Master’s degree or above.

• Preferred disciplines: Educational Leadership, Education Management, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Assessment, Educational Psychology, or a relevant secondary academic discipline.

English

• Full professional fluency in English.

IELTS 7.0+ or equivalent preferred; candidates educated in English-medium degree programs may be considered without a formal certificate.

3. Highly Preferred

Candidates will be particularly attractive if they have:

• Experience working across multiple schools/campuses or within a large education system/group.

• Experience with both national and international curricula, particularly A Levels or comparable international high school pathways.

• A demonstrable record of improving student outcomes, including examination performance, university admissions, and/or scholarships.

• Experience developing differentiated academic pathways such as honours/advanced courses, electives, credit-based programs, research/capstone programs, or early university/dual-credit models.

• Experience establishing or leading academic/career counselling frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of international university admissions and changing admissions trends.

• Existing experience building relationships with universities and negotiating academic partnerships, articulation/credit recognition, scholarships, or student opportunities.

• Experience designing quality assurance frameworks, academic KPIs, dashboards, or other data-informed performance systems.

4. Leadership Profile

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

• Strategic and systems thinking – able to see the entire high school learning journey rather than individual programs in isolation.

• Academic credibility – able to engage confidently with principals, subject specialists, counsellors, universities, and senior executives.

• Execution capability – able to turn strategy into frameworks, standards, implementation plans, and measurable outcomes.

• Change leadership – able to influence multiple campuses and lead academic change without relying solely on direct authority.

• Data-informed decision-making – comfortable using student and program data to identify gaps and drive improvement.

• Team development – strong coaching capability and a track record of developing academic leaders and specialist teams.

• External representation and relationship building – confident engaging with universities and international education partners at senior level.

• A strong student-centred orientation, with long-term student development and post-secondary outcomes at the heart of academic decisions.
