Mô tả công việc

Purpose of the role:

The Head of Engineering & Maintenance is responsible for leading the Engineering & Maintenance function across all manufacturing sites, ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of production equipment and plant utilities. This role is accountable for driving maintenance excellence, improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and supporting business growth through engineering innovation, automation, and continuous improvement.

As a key member of the manufacturing leadership team, the role partners closely with Production, Planning, Quality, HSE, Procurement, Finance, and external equipment suppliers to ensure operational continuity and long-term asset sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall Engineering & Maintenance strategy to maximize equipment reliability, availability, and operational efficiency across all manufacturing facilities.

• Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring effective planning and execution while minimizing unplanned downtime.

• Own and drive key maintenance performance metrics, including OEE, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, and equipment availability, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Engineering & Maintenance organization by coaching managers and engineers, setting performance expectations, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.

• Partner closely with Production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules, planned shutdowns, and equipment interventions with minimal impact on production plans and customer commitments.

• Oversee the maintenance and reliability of all critical plant utilities, including electrical systems, compressed air, water supply, HVAC, and other supporting infrastructure.

• Establish effective spare parts management strategies, ensuring the availability of critical components while optimizing inventory levels and maintenance costs.

• Manage maintenance operating budgets and support capital investment planning for equipment replacement, upgrades, expansion projects, and modernization initiatives.

• Lead engineering projects involving new equipment installation, process optimization, capacity expansion, and technology upgrades to enhance manufacturing capability.

• Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives, including the adoption of PLC/SCADA systems, condition monitoring technologies, predictive maintenance solutions, and data-driven maintenance practices.

• Collaborate with international OEMs, equipment manufacturers, and technical service providers on equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, upgrades, warranty support, and long-term technical partnerships.

• Champion reliability engineering methodologies such as TPM, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and other best practices to reduce recurring failures and improve asset performance.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to engineering activities, while promoting safe work practices and fostering a proactive safety culture.

• Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize utility consumption, reduce operating costs, and improve environmental performance.

• Work cross-functionally with Quality, Planning, Procurement, Finance, IT, and HSE teams to align engineering priorities with overall business objectives and operational needs.

• Prepare and present engineering performance reports, maintenance KPIs, budget updates, and capital project proposals to senior leadership, providing data-driven recommendations for decision-making.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence by encouraging problem-solving, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of industry best practices throughout the organization.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum of 10 years of Engineering and Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.

• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and supporting complex production equipment from international OEMs.

• Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems, reliability engineering, TPM, RCA, FMEA, and asset lifecycle management.

• Experience in continuous manufacturing industries such as industrial manufacturing, FMCG, chemicals, polymers, textiles, or similar sectors is preferred.

• Familiarity with automation technologies, PLC/SCADA systems, predictive maintenance, and Industry 4.0 initiatives is an advantage.

• Strong financial acumen with experience managing maintenance budgets, CAPEX projects, and cost optimization initiatives.

• Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with international suppliers and technical partners.
