Finance Reporting Senior Supervisor

Job Scope / Position Summary

• Purpose of this role: Support the preparation and analysis of financial reporting under IFRS 17 and IFRS 9, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements while contributing to reporting automation and data governance initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports under IFRS 17 and IFRS 9.

• Support financial closing activities, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Ensure compliance with VAS, IFRS, regulatory requirements, and company reporting policies.

• Support internal and external audit requests and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve reporting queries.

• Perform financial and operational analyses to support management decision-making.

Reporting Automation & Data Management

• Participate in the design, testing, and enhancement of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support reporting automation.

• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of source data and reporting outputs.

• Work closely with Finance, Actuarial, IT, and Data teams to improve reporting efficiency and data quality.

• Support the development and maintenance of reporting databases, data models, and dashboards.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in reporting processes, controls, and data governance.

Education :

• Bachelor degree, preferably in Accounting/ Finance or Economics major

• ACCA/CPA or pursuing ACCA/CPA is a plus

Experience :

2-4 years of relevant experience, Life Insurance industry

• Audit experience in life business and involvement in IFRS17-related works is highly desirable.

• Experience in leading operation & business-related changes, and project management. High appetite for changes and challenging the status quo. Change management experience is the advantage.

Skills :

• Good in analytical skills, and innovation mid-set to identify improvement, develop business cases, and translate business needs into clear transformation objectives.

• Strong planning, organizing skills, details oriented, critical thinking, problem-solving, skills in multi-tasking, and prioritizing tasks.

• Understanding of data transformation, reconciliation, and reporting processes; experience participating in ETL development or testing is a plus.

• Proficient command of spoken and written English.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint), and knowledge of VBA and SQL is an advantage.

• Experience in using systems, e.g. Sun, SAP, is an asset
