Our client is a foreign-invested company, now looking for a Customs Clearance Manager (Logistics/ Freight Forwarding, $1150, ID 21655)
- Direct and oversee comprehensive customs entry declaration processes, guaranteeing that all customs filings are accurate, fully compliant, and submitted within regulatory deadlines to eliminate risks of penalties, tax back-payments, or unexpected operational costs.
- Lead the resolution of complex customs statuses, including yellow and red channel processing, physical cargo inspections, price consultations, and post-customs clearance audit requests.
- Monitor and verify the application of tariff classifications (HS Codes), duty rates, Certificates of Origin (C/O), specialized regulatory licenses, and technical inspection approvals.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate the operational quality and compliance performance of a dedicated team of 5–6 customs specialists.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional internal units—including Sales, Customer Service, Pricing, Documentation, and Field Operations—to ensure seamless cargo delivery timelines.
Yêu cầu công việc
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of solid experience specializing in customs declaration procedures within logistics, freight forwarding, or customs agency firms.
- Leadership Experience: At least 2–3 years in a Supervisor, Team Lead, or Managerial capacity overseeing operational teams.
- Industry Relations: Established positive working rapport with relevant customs authority officers.
- Language Skills: Good command of English, specifically in reading and understanding international trade documents, shipping papers, and customs regulations; conversational proficiency in Chinese is a strong advantage.
