Vietpay’s parent company is Tiger Financial Corporation, a Canada based group operating with international governance standards and financial reporting requirements. As part of our group reporting, consolidation, fundraising activities, and investor reporting, we must comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and work closely with external auditors, professional advisors, and foreign investors.

This role is critical to maintaining strong IFRS reporting discipline and audit readiness as the group operates with the expectations of a public company environment.

Role summary

We are hiring a Chief Accountant – Fintech to strengthen our accounting & Financial function in Vietnam and to support group reporting, audit execution, and investor grade financial operations.

As the Chief Accountant, you will oversee and lead all financial and accounting operations of our Fintech platform. You will be responsible for ensuring absolute compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS). You will serve as a key strategic partner to the Management team, safeguarding the company’s corporate standing and financial integrity in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape

Key Responsibilities:

1. Audit, Investors, and Advisory Coordination

• Act as a primary finance point of contact for external auditors, public accounting advisors, and due diligence teams.

• Coordinate audit requests, track deliverables, and ensure timely submission of evidence and schedules.

• Support investor reporting, due diligence, and responses to accounting and finance questions from foreign stakeholders.

• Support improvements required from audit findings and management letter points.

2. VAS Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Own and support VAS compliant accounting and reporting processes for Vietpay, including monthly and year end close.

• Ensure correct accounting treatment under VAS for revenue recognition, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, leases, provisions, related party transactions, and foreign currency items.

• Develop and maintain VAS accounting memos for complex or judge mental accounting topics when required.

3. Closing, Controls, and Accounting Operations

• Lead monthly close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance explanations.

• Coordinate with Operation Team for develop invoicing & reconciliation process.

• Improve close speed and accuracy through process documentation, checklists, and internal controls.

• Maintain strong supporting documentation standards suitable for investor review and external audit testing.

• Manage chart of accounts structure, cost center mapping, and management reporting needs.

• Ensure accounting records are complete, clean, and consistent across periods.

4. Public Company and Governance Support

• Support finance deliverables associated with public company standards, including consistent reporting packages, policy compliance, and documentation discipline.

• Support related party tracking and intercompany reconciliations to meet consolidation and governance standards.

• Contribute to policies, SOPs, and governance processes aligned with a listed company environment.

Required Qualificat

Required Qualifications (Non Negotiable)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Excellent English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate confidently with foreign auditors, advisors, and investors.

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with international companies in a professional finance or accounting environment.

• Experience with IFRS accounting fundamentals is a plus, including hands on application in reporting and close processes.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Chief Accountant or Finance Manager

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with foreign investors and audit teams, including responding to requests, preparing audit schedules, and managing evidence packs.

• Experience working within a publicly listed company or in a role supporting public company reporting standards, governance, and audit expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, ACCA, CA, ICAEW, or equivalent professional certification.

• Fintech, banking, payments, lending, or technology sector experience.

• Experience with group consolidation, multi entity structures, intercompany accounting, and related party reporting.

• Experience working with cross border teams in Canada, the US, Singapore, or other jurisdictions.

• Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivots, and building reporting packs.

• Familiarity with accounting systems and workflow tools (ERP, invoicing, expense management).
