BIM Engineer

Position: Building Information Modelling (BIM) Modeler

Reporting to position: SED/LE Manager, BIM Cord.

Objectives of the function

To support the digital delivery of design and associated deliverables in an integrated and holistic manner using appropriate modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Use of Revit and BIM to perform layout

• Leverage BIM software and tools as a methodology to coordinate design documentation

• Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria

• Monitor modeling / update drawings and inform BIM in charge if there are any changes

• Checking for any clashes of equipment on BIM

• Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines design-changes and model challenges

• Development of a content library suitable for Project, Sales and Sales Engineering team.

• Report to BIM Coordinator / Team Leader and perform work task assigned

Education

Diploma graduate or above, with BIM knowledge

Professional skills

- Good knowledge of BIM and the ability to implement the use of multi-disciplinary modelling on projects.

- Preferably with relevant experience in the design and specification of Escalator and Elevator.

- A clear understanding of multi-disciplinary design approach and the delivery of projects to a high quality from bid stage to operation.

- Able to create “families” by using BIM

Professional experience

Preferably with drafting experience using BIM software. Experience in Elevator and Escalator industry is an advantage.

Languages

- Communication and written skills in English

- Communication and written skills in Chinese and/or other Asian languages is an advantage

IT

MS Projects, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, SAP experience an advantage. Revit, Navis Work, Autocad is a MUST.
