Assistant Manager (Lean Manufacturing Footwear)

In this position, you will act as the primary execution partner and coordinator for the Head of Department. This role is responsible for the daily tracking, data analysis, and floor-level monitoring of projects across three pillars: Industrial Engineering (IE), Continuous Improvement (CI), and Automation. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between management strategy and shop-floor execution, ensuring all team tasks are delivered on time.

Continuous Improvement (CI) Management

30% • Assist the team in scheduling and managing Lean/Six Sigma DMAIC tollgate reviews to ensure factory projects meet financial targets and deadlines.

• Maintain and manage the factory-wide Kaizen System (from idea submission and screening to implementation and results evaluation).

• Monitor and update the departmental CI dashboard and visual displays to ensure all project tracking and metrics are current.

• Act as a co-mentor for Lean Six Sigma Project Leaders; help eliminate project barriers, teach problem-solving tools, and support the design and delivery of internal Lean training.

• Facilitate advanced data-driven problem-solving and analysis (using Minitab, 8D, and FMEA) to address line defects, scrap rates, and process weak points, ensuring sustainable solutions.

Industrial Engineering (IE) Management

50% • Analyze monthly labor utilization, and line capacity to identify opportunities for efficiency gains across product steps.

• Assist in maintaining and auditing the factory's Standard time database to ensure time studies reflect accurate shop-floor realities.

• Routinely study production line flows to identify physical bottlenecks, optimize line pitching, and balance operator allocation to maximize Throughput.

• Support the design and execution of factory floor modifications to optimize material handling, reduce transportation waste, and support new model launches.

• Work closely with Production Planning (PPC) and workshop supervisors to ensure IE line-balancing changes align with daily output targets.

Automation implementation

20% • Drive the effort to improve the machine OEE and TPM KPIs by building real-time operational performance.

• Act as the lead of tracking coordinator for the full lifecycle of technical implementations, digital tools, and automated machinery on the lines.

• Use digital and data-driven solutions to quickly identify and address human factors or resistance affecting the factory's capacity to adopt new technology.

• Assist the Manager in conducting shop-floor assessments to identify for digital transformation or hardware automation (e.g., manual stitching to automated sewing, or computerized cutting)

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering:

• Industrial Management

• Automation/Mechanical Engineering

• Relevant majors

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above

3 to 5 years of related working in Footwear manufacturing with most of the job of Continuous Improvement, Transformation, Digitalization, Automation with 3+ of management/leadership experience.

Experience in working Project Management is strongly desirable.

Experience in using Power BI

Experience in leading Lean-Six Sigma as a project leader
