Steel Structural Designer

• Design pre-engineered steel buildings (PEB) in accordance with the approved Project Information Form (PIF), project specifications, and company standards.

• Perform structural analysis and design to ensure the stability, safety, and cost-effectiveness of steel structures.

• Prepare structural design calculations and select appropriate member sizes, materials, and connection details in compliance with Pebsteel's standards.

• Review and verify Approval Drawings to ensure they are accurate, complete, and consistent with the approved structural design before issuance.

• Collaborate with Design Supervisors, Team Leaders, and cross-functional teams to clarify technical requirements and resolve engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle.

• Prepare preliminary structural designs and quantity estimates to support the quotation and tendering process when required.

• Review the Project Information Form (PIF) for completeness and identify any missing or conflicting information before commencing design.

• Prepare quantity breakdowns and engineering documentation required for project execution.

• Coordinate with relevant departments regarding the use of special materials or non-standard items in the project.

• Ensure assigned projects are completed on schedule while maintaining quality, safety, and engineering standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 2 years of experience in structural design for steel buildings or pre-engineered buildings (PEB).

• Proficient in structural engineering software such as STAAD.
Pro, SAP2000, and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required.

• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, steel design principles, and engineering standards.

• Ability to read, understand, and prepare technical documents in English. Good written and verbal English communication skills are preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Proactive, responsible, and committed to delivering high-quality work within project deadlines.

• Creative, careful, and eager to continuously develop technical expertise.
