Backend & Platform Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices using Python as the primary language, with opportunities to work with Go, Java, Node.js, or other modern technologies.
• Build and operate high-performance systems supporting AI applications, data processing, and large-scale platform services.
• Design RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, event-driven architectures, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Optimize performance through asynchronous processing, concurrency, caching strategies, and distributed messaging systems.

AI & Intelligent Systems

• Build and enhance AI-powered applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), intelligent agents, and machine learning technologies.
• Develop document ingestion pipelines, embeddings, vector search, retrieval mechanisms, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and orchestration workflows.
• Integrate AI services from leading providers and open-source ecosystems while ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to model evaluation, monitoring, and optimization to improve user experience and business outcomes.

AI Safety & Validation Systems

• Develop and enhance validation, moderation, and safety services for text, image, and document processing.
• Build systems for detecting content quality, compliance risks, security threats, prompt injection, jailbreak attempts, sensitive information exposure, and other AI-related risks.
• Design scalable model-serving infrastructures, routing, batching, caching, and monitoring capabilities.

Data & Infrastructure

• Work with relational databases, NoSQL databases, vector databases, and messaging systems to support large-scale applications.
• Build and maintain cloud-native services using containerized and distributed architectures.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, observability, logging, monitoring, and security best practices.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, AI/ML Engineers, Frontend Engineers, Designers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and technology evaluations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering excellence through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Your Skills and Experience

 

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience in backend development and building production-grade software systems.

Programming & System Design

• Strong proficiency in Python and at least one additional backend language such as Go, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Spring Boot, Gin, Express.js, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of system design, microservices architecture, distributed systems, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, asynchronous processing, performance optimization, and scalable architectures.

AI & Machine Learning

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Generative AI applications and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, embeddings, vector databases, and knowledge retrieval systems.
• Agentic AI, multi-agent orchestration, tool integrations, and AI workflow automation.
• Machine learning model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment.
• Content moderation, AI safety, AI governance, or validation systems.
• Model serving, inference optimization, quantization, or GPU-based deployment.

Hands-on experience with technologies such as:

• LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI
• Hugging Face, PyTorch, TensorFlow
• OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalent AI platforms is highly preferred.

Databases & Messaging

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, or equivalent databases.
• Familiarity with vector databases such as Qdrant, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Milvus.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging and event-streaming systems.

Cloud & DevOps

• Experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure environments.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.

Quality & Engineering Excellence

• Strong experience with unit testing, integration testing, and system reliability practices.
• Knowledge of application security, API protection, observability, logging, and monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a product-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with React, Vue.js, or modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience in AI safety, content moderation, compliance systems, or trust & safety products.
• Experience with multimodal AI involving images, documents, audio, or video.
• Experience optimizing large-scale AI serving systems using ONNX, TensorRT, vLLM, or related technologies.
