Senior Pricing Specialist (Forwarding)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced, proactive, and result-oriented Pricing professional to lead our pricing strategies and optimize procurement competitiveness. This role is not for trainees; we need an immediate contributor who can take full ownership of goals from Day 1. The ideal candidate will have a holistic understanding of the forwarding business and, upon proving suitability, will be strongly considered for a future leadership/management position.

Key Responsibilities (Duties):

1. Strategic Procurement & Negotiation: Negotiate directly with international shipping lines, carriers, airlines, and co-loaders to secure the most competitive "Net" rates and ensure space allocation during peak seasons.

2. Data-Driven Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze freight data to prepare comprehensive price comparison reports, supporting management in developing effective business strategies.

3. Proactive Market Monitoring: Continuously track transportation market trends, freight rate fluctuations (Sea-FCL/LCL, Air, Road), and seasonal supply/demand patterns.

4. Cross-Functional Support: Provide prompt and accurate pricing support to internal teams (Sales/BD, Operations, FI) to accelerate quotation turnaround times.

1. Experience: Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in Ocean & Air pricing within the Freight Forwarding industry. (Holistic understanding of the overall forwarding business workflow is mandatory.)

2. Logistics Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Incoterms and a comprehensive understanding of local/international surcharge systems (THC, CFS, CIC, BAF, CAF, etc.) to verify quotation reasonableness.

3. Tech-Savviness: Proficient in utilizing carrier/airline online price-checking tools, freight management systems, and advanced Excel for report preparation.

4. Language: Professional English proficiency (both written and verbal) to negotiate and communicate seamlessly with foreign partners and agents via email and text.
