Pricing Strategy Specialist

I.Market Research & Analysis:

• Monitor, collect, and analyze data on freight rate fluctuations, market trends, and carrier capacity.

• Analyze competitor pricing to identify strengths and weaknesses in the current pricing structure.

• Consolidate reports on supply–demand trends by trade lane and by season.

II. Pricing Strategy Development

• Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with company goals and market conditions.

• Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure pricing strategies are effectively communicated and executed.

• Prepare pricing proposals and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

• Conduct regular reviews of pricing models to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

• Support the development of pricing tools and systems to streamline pricing processes.

III. Pricing Operationa & Data Management:

• Update and verify the accuracy of rate sheets and pricing contracts in the system.

• Calculate cost structures to ensure quoted prices align with target profit margins.

• Standardize pricing processes to ensure consistency and data accuracy.

IV. Business Performance Analysis

• Monitor pricing performance and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.

• Conduct win/loss analysis on quotations submitted to customers.

• Analyze profitability, discount structures, and market share by customer/trade lane.

• Prepare weekly/monthly pricing performance reports with insights and improvement recommendations

• Work with Booking, CS, and Sales to ensure correct pricing application and space availability.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing strategy or related field.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

• Proficiency in pricing software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Knowledge of the logistics and supply chain industry is preferred.
