Job Purpose

The Senior Costing & Inventory Accountant is responsible for managing all manufacturing costing activities, inventory accounting, and supporting the successful implementation and stabilization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC).

The role acts as the Finance Business Partner for Production and Warehouse to ensure accurate inventory transactions, product costing, and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Costing

• Perform monthly product costing and inventory valuation.

• Calculate and analyze standard costs and actual manufacturing costs.

• Analyze material, labor and overhead variances.

• Review cost allocation methodology.

• Prepare gross margin and manufacturing cost analysis.

• Monitor inventory valuation accuracy.

2. Inventory Accounting

• Perform monthly inventory reconciliation.

• Review inventory movements and investigate discrepancies.

• Support stock count and cycle count activities.

• Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory.

• Review inventory adjustments and write-offs.

3. ERP (Business Central)

• Act as Finance Key User for: Manufacturing, Inventory, Costing

• Support BC implementation, UAT and post-go-live stabilization.

• Validate costing master data, BOMs, Routings and inventory setup.

• Work with IT and consultants to resolve system issues.

4. Business Partnering

Work closely with: Production, Warehouse , Planning , Engineering , Procurement to improve costing accuracy and operational efficiency.

5. Financial Analysis

• Analyze manufacturing KPIs.

• Analyze production efficiency.

• Support budgeting and forecasting.

• Prepare management reports relating to manufacturing costs.

6. Internal Control

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies.

• Maintain costing documentation.

• Support internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

• Minimum 6–8 years of costing experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of: Standard Costing, Actual Costing, Inventory Accounting, Manufacturing Processes

• ERP experience (Business Central, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.)

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good command of English (a must).

Preferred Experience

• ERP implementation experience.

• Manufacturing company experience.

• Experience with BOM, Routing and Production Orders.

SALARY RANGE

VND 25–35 million gross/month (depending on experience and capability)
