About your role

- Ensure all inventory transactions in assigned scope are controlled to achieve the correct accounting treatment and full compliance with process and policy.

- Protect the company's assets through inventory review (slow-moving stock, write-offs, Gemba walks, scrap sales, etc.), accurate provisioning, and proactive follow-up with stakeholders to provide support and guidance.

- Contribute to operational productivity and efficiency by initiating or joining stakeholder projects to add financial insight and improve processes through automation and simplification.

What You'll Do

Accounting & Reporting

- Review inventory transaction movements and adjustment entries to ensure they are approved in line with the Schedule of Authority (SOA) and current policy.

- Review inventory transactions daily to investigate non-routine cases or incorrect reason codes and process the necessary corrections, ensuring inventory costs are captured accurately and in compliance with VAS and company policy.

- Prepare the monthly closing reports for Inventory Aging and Days Inventory Index (DII).

- Ensure the accurate preparation of financial reports and support the periodic balance sheet review for the respective inventory accounts.

- Analyze and comment on movements in inventory provisions in compliance with VAS and company policy.

Inventory & Internal Control

- Perform plant and DC site visits and Gemba walks to ensure compliance with the I2C process and that financial controls are in place.

- Review and monitor the movement of slow-moving items and flag them to the PIC and management team for timely clearance to mitigate write-off costs.

- Review scrap sales and the disposal of obsolete or damaged stock to ensure the correct accounting treatment and protect company assets.

- Follow up on action plans defined with the PIC and functional teams to raise provisions or clear slow-moving items on a timely basis.

- Review adjustment entries and write-off requests to ensure complete supporting documentation as required by the SOA.

- Lead the periodic physical counts and related reporting across the assigned locations, including inventory, DC, FA/SPP, FA labelling, FA idle assets and FA idle asset bidding.

Business Partnering & Continuous Improvement

- Initiate or join stakeholder projects to add financial insight and improve inventory processes through automation and simplification.

- Follow up proactively with stakeholders to provide support and guidance, contributing to operational productivity and efficiency.

Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the line manager, such as new project implementation.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economic

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in an FMCG company

Solid knowledge of finance, accounting and inventory control

Strong and effective cross-functional communication

Logical and analytical mindset

Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Familiarity with modern reporting and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, KNIME, Power BI, AI)
