Nutrition R&D Supervisor

A. Role Expectations

• Take primary responsibility for complex tasks related to calculating and determining nutritional values for MML meat products.

• Ensure compliance with the latest governmental regulations/standards.

• Build capabilities and sustainable nutritional control processes across the entire MML product portfolio.

B. Key Responsibilities

1. Nutritional Calculation & Control

• Perform calculations and determine nutritional values for MML meat products in accordance with the latest regulatory requirements.

• Build nutritional databases covering raw materials, semi-finished products, production processes, and finished goods.

• Study product stability to define acceptable variation ranges and ensure nutritional accuracy throughout the product lifecycle.

• Review and adjust product specifications to ensure nutritional values remain accurate during transition phases and minimize business risks due to deviations.

2. Build Capability & Processes for Nutrition Team

• Guide and retrain relevant teams (Regulatory, Formulation) in using nutrition calculation tools and statistical analysis during resource transitions.

• Coordinate with Formulation (FOR) team to collect samples, testing results, and perform nutritional evaluation and calculation.

• Review and propose improvements in production processes and equipment related to nutrition control.

• Participate in product recalls (if any) related to incorrect nutrition labeling.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work with FOR and SPEC teams to support sampling and measurement during capability-building phases.

• Report progress directly to line manager and proactively raise issues related to resources or timelines.

• Join internal training and capability assessments aligned with R&D expert development.

5. Background

Education: Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree

Major: Food Technology, Nutrition, Food Chemistry, or related fields

Professional Competencies: Strong understanding of nutrition labeling regulations, nutrition calculation methods, statistical analysis, and product stability/shelf-life evaluation

Experience & Language

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in nutrition/food nutrition, preferably with meat products

• Strong reading comprehension in English (regulatory documents, research papers)
