Key Responsibilities – Engineering BOM (EBOM) to Manufacturing BOM (MBOM)

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging Engineering and Manufacturing by transforming engineering data into efficient, production-ready manufacturing processes. Your work will ensure that every product is structured for safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyze engineering drawings, 3D models, and Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOM) to fully understand product designs.

• Convert Engineering BOMs (EBOM) into Manufacturing BOMs (MBOM) optimized for production.

• Develop manufacturing routings that define the complete production sequence from raw material to finished product.

• Determine the most efficient manufacturing processes, including laser cutting, machining, bending, welding, painting, assembly, and packaging.

• Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), Manufacturing BOMs (MBOM), and production routings within the ERP system.

• Establish standard labor times and manufacturing standards for each operation.

• Assign work centers, machines, tooling, and resources to manufacturing operations.

• Optimize product structures to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate non-value-added activities.

• Support Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECN) by updating manufacturing documentation and ERP data.

• Work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Planning, and Quality teams to ensure a smooth transition from product design to manufacturing.

• Validate manufacturing feasibility and identify opportunities to simplify fabrication and assembly.

• Maintain accurate manufacturing master data to support scheduling, procurement, costing, and production execution.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, standardization, quality, and operational excellence.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

1–3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Methods Engineering, Process Engineering, or a similar role.

Basic understanding of Engineering BOM (EBOM), Manufacturing BOM (MBOM)

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.

Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Basic English communication and reading comprehension skills to support daily work and collaboration
