Manufacturing Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities
Lead mechanical and electrical installation of semiconductor metrology/inspection systems at CM site.
Perform system setup, alignment, calibration, and configuration according to engineering specifications.
Execute system integration of subsystems including optics, motion stages, sensors, controllers, and software interfaces.
Conduct system qualification activities including IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), and PQ (Performance Qualification).
Perform full functional testing, verification, and validation of metrology/inspection systems prior to shipment or handover.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and integration issues during build and qualification phases.
Collaborate with Design Engineering, Process Engineering, Software, Quality teams to resolve technical issues.
Develop and maintain build procedures, test protocols, checklists, and qualification documentation.
Ensure compliance with SEMI standards, ESD control, cleanroom protocols, and safety regulations.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Provide training and technical guidance to technicians and operators.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related fields.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment assembly, integration, or system qualification.
Hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment.
Strong understanding of:
Precision mechanical assembly and alignment
Motion control systems and servo systems
Optical systems and calibration
Electrical wiring and control systems
CDA/Vacuum systems (preferred)
Experience performing IQ/OQ/PQ and system validation processes.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and ESD control standards.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Knowledge of quality systems (ISO, 8D, FMEA, SPC) is an advantage.
Good project coordination and cross-functional communication skills.
English proficiency: Intermediate or above.
Preferred Qualification
Experience with system integration in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing.
Knowledge of SEMI standards and FAB acceptance procedures.
