Manager, Bancassurance Partnership Management

PURPOSE:

Partnership Management is a critical role in translating FWD Bancassurance strategy into executable partner initiatives, disciplined project delivery and effective partner engagement. The role connects business priorities with practical execution across bank partners, sales force and internal functions.

This role focuses on three core functions:

(1) implementing partner initiatives and managing related projects;

(2) managing partnership engagement and relationship governance;

(3) driving partnership communication.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Implement partner initiatives and manage related projects

- Translate approved partnership priorities into executable initiative plans with clear objectives, scope, owners, milestones, dependencies and expected benefits.

- Drive cross-functional delivery across sales, training, product, customer, digital, operations, finance, legal, compliance, technology.

- Maintain project plan, milestone tracker, RAID log, decision log and weekly/monthly status report; identify risks, dependencies and bottlenecks early.

- Prepare recommendation papers, business cases and post-implementation reviews to support management decisions and continuous improvement.

- Convert partner and sales feedback into actionable backlog, insight memo and recommendations for product, process, policy or sales support improvement.

- Support partner onboarding / offboarding where applicable, including readiness checklist, go-live / termination plan, hypercare tracking, customer protection actions and closure confirmation.

• Partnership engagement

- Maintain partner relationship, stakeholder list and annual / quarterly engagement calendar for key events.

- Prepare partner meetings, executive touchpoints, SC / Workstream materials, progress updates and success story communication to build buy-in for joint initiatives.

- Capture partner feedback, relationship health signals and priority issues; follow up agreed actions and escalate senior-level matters when required.

- Track partner, sales force and internal requests with owners, due dates, closure status and SLA monitoring; resolve cross-functional bottlenecks through clear coordination.

• Partnership communication

- Manage official communication of FWD updates, requirements, product / process changes and partner-facing messages with appropriate endorsement by related functions where required.

- Maintain communication trail, approval tracker, document repository, version control and feedback / pain-point log as the single source of truth for partnership actions.

- Support Line Manager and team on strategic partnership priorities, new business opportunities, management proposals and other ad-hoc tasks assigned.

• At least 7 years of working experience with at least 5 years in bancassurance, insurance, banking, finance, project management, partner management or business development.

• Experience in partner engagement, project delivery, stakeholder coordination, business analysis and cross-functional execution.

• Ability to prepare management-ready materials and partner-facing communication.

• University graduate in Business, Economics, Finance, Banking, Insurance, Legal, Marketing or related fields.

• Good English communication, both verbal and written.

• Ability to use AI-enabled productivity tools to improve analysis, information synthesis, documentation quality and work efficiency.

• Experience supervising or coordinating junior staff / officer-level support is preferred.

• Bancassurance business, product, customer segment, sales model and bank distribution understanding.

• Strategic relationship management, stakeholder influencing, negotiation and partner engagement.

• Project management, PMO discipline, RAID management, dependency tracking and risk escalation.

• Structured communication, executive-ready writing, meeting facilitation and documentation control.

• Critical thinking, root-cause analysis, business case building and data-driven insight generation.

• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Planner / task tracker and AI-enabled productivity tools.
