Legal Counsel/ Legal Expert

Our client is a leading bank in Vietnam who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.

• Propose, participate in developing and finalizing, and organize the implementation of internal processes, rules, and regulations related to the functions and responsibilities of the Department and Division.
• Participate in developing and implementing the work plans and activities of the Department/Division.
• Provide advice on legal matters and draft/review contracts and transaction documents for the customer segment managed by the Department.
• Provide legal support and/or directly participate in projects and transactions within the segment managed by the Department, financial investment transactions, mergers and acquisitions, capital-raising activities, and major projects/transactions of the Bank, as assigned by the Division Management/Department Head, including project advisory, document drafting/review, and participation in negotiations.
• Participate in working sessions with state authorities to provide explanations and reports on relevant matters during such sessions and on other matters requested by the state authorities. Participate in and coordinate participation in negotiations with partners arising from the Bank’s business operations.
• Introduce and disseminate laws relating to legal matters serving the managed customer segment.
• Manage and train employees, as assigned by the Center Director/Department Head, on methods and approaches for performing their duties and provide the best input to achieve high results.
• Perform other tasks as assigned, if any.

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or Legal Studies. Preference will be given to candidates holding a lawyer’s practicing certificate and/or a master’s degree or higher.
• Knowledge of laws and experience in the banking sector.
• Knowledge of corporate, investment, and securities laws.

• From 7 to 10 years of experience in legal advisory services, including at least 5 years of legal advisory experience in the finance, banking, or real estate sectors.

• English proficiency and office computer skills.
• Ability to analyze and draft documents in accordance with professional standards.
