Position:

The Environment Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs across VinFast's manufacturing facilities. You will provide comprehensive training to employees and contractors, collaborate with internal departments to ensure EHS compliance, and represent VinFast in interactions with external stakeholders regarding EHS and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) matters.

This position is 06-month contract to cover maternity leave.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver engaging training programs on EHS topics for employees and contractors.

- Collaborate with manufacturing shops and other departments to initiate and guide the implementation of effective EHS control programs.

- Prepare and maintain comprehensive environmental documentation, including permits, reports, and records, to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

- Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits by lenders, investors, and regulatory agencies to maintain positive EHS & ESG ratings.

- Stay current on evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices in the EV manufacturing sector.

- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS performance.

- Liaise with relevant internal departments (e.g., Engineering, Production) to ensure EHS considerations are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.

- Update the environmental monitoring plan according to the requirements in the EIA, Environment permit and IFC standard.

- Coordinate with other departments/workshops to conduct environment monitoring and supervising contractors to conduct monitoring and disclose the final environmental monitoring results to communities.

- Coordinate with related parties to prepare environmental impact assessment report (EIA) and Environment permit for new projects at VinFast factory.

- Conduct environment compliance checklist and prepare report on non-compliance items to submit to leaders.

- Assess qualifications, follow up, and close the corrective action after evaluating the waste collection, transportation and treatment service providers.

- Plan and implement environmental protection campaign(in the factory area and surrounding communities)

- Prepare and conduct ISO 14001 internal auditors for workshops/departments and conduct implement/follow-up corrective actions according to annual reports.

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management within a manufacturing environment.

- Proven experience in developing and delivering EHS training programs.

- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes in Vietnam.

- Strong understanding of EHS best practices in the automotive industry, with a focus on EV manufacturing (preferred).

- Mastery of computer skills sufficient to maintain a database of environmental data and prepare reports and presentation of results.

- Have a good understanding of the legal requirements of the environment.

- Have a good understanding of ISO 14001 Standards, IFC Performance Standards and have skills in writing ENV reports in English.

- ​Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with EHS management software (a plus).

- English proficiency is a plus.
