Head of Production

1. Production Management & Planning

o Develop short-term, medium-term, and long-term production plans that align with sales demand, customer deadlines, and operational capacity, including preparation of resources such as manpower, machinery, and materials to ensure full support for factory operations and production activities.

o Responsible for achieving optimum labor and least amount of overhead and raw material costs.

o Monitor key production KPIs (cost per unit, yield, downtime, scrap rate, etc.) and take necessary actions for improvement.

o Supervise activities and preventive action, and research good way to reduce cost but still maintain products quality.

o Coordinate with relevant departments to establish production processes, quality management processes.

o Optimize workflows to reduce waste, improve eAiciency, and lower production costs using lean manufacturing principles.

2. People Management & Team Development

o Plan headcount, allocate installation personnel according to project requirements, and review workforce performance to ensure installation progress and quality.

o Ensure eAective training in welding techniques, machining operations, equipment handling, and safety protocols.

o Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement programs for underperforming employees.

o Foster a collaborative and disciplined work environment that promotes accountability and innovation.

3. Quality Assurance, Compliance & Reporting

o Implement and maintain ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and ensure compliance with industry standards.

o Conduct regular workplace safety audits and risk assessments to prevent accidents.

o Promote a zero-incident safety culture and ensure strict adherence to environmental regulations (ISO 14001).

o Oversee quality inspections at each production stage (machining, welding, finishing, assembly) to ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, or ASTM standards.

o Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fabrication processes and reduce rejection rates.

o Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, customer specifications, and legal requirements in steel fabrication.

o Prepare reports on production performance, challenges, and operational improvements for senior management.

Education & Academic Background:

o Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.

Work Experience:

o 15-20 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing, or heavy industrial production.

o Experience in leading large production teams and optimizing fabrication processes.

o Knowledge of ISO 9001, AWS welding codes, ASME standards, 5S, and lean manufacturing principles.

Technical & Leadership Skills:

o Strong leadership skills in managing fabrication teams and driving process improvements.

o Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a manufacturing environment.

o Knowledge in CNC, welding, laser/plasma cutting, surface treatment, and assembly.

o Knowledge of inventory control, production planning, and cost management techniques.

o Proficiency in Microsoft OAice, experience in ERR/SAP is preferred.

o Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
