Reports to: Technical Lead / Head of Delivery

About the role

We are looking for a Fullstack TypeScript Engineer to build and maintain web-based enterprise and customer-facing systems. You will work across the stack in TypeScript, from React front ends through to Node.js services and APIs, and be involved from requirement discussion to production support.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain features end to end: front end, back end, APIs and database.

• Write clean, tested, maintainable TypeScript on both client and server.

• Build responsive, accessible user interfaces from designs and wireframes, working with the UI/UX designer.

• Design and implement REST or GraphQL APIs and integrate with third-party and internal systems.

• Model and query relational databases; write efficient queries and migrations.

• Participate in code review, technical design discussions and estimation.

• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments and cloud infrastructure alongside the team.

• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to performance, security and reliability improvements.

• Work with Business Analysts and QA to clarify requirements and deliver against acceptance criteria.

Must-have requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development, with strong hands-on TypeScript across front end and back end.

• React (hooks, state management, component design) and modern front-end tooling.

• Node.js server-side development (Express, NestJS, Fastify or similar).

• Solid relational database skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server) and an ORM such as Prisma or TypeORM.

• REST API design; comfortable with authentication and authorisation patterns (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC).

• Git, code review, and automated testing (unit and integration).

• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery with Jira or equivalent.

• English proficiency: IELTS 5.0 and above.

Nice to have

• Experience with software for financial services: trade finance, KYC and customer onboarding, underwriting, or B2C portals.

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), Docker and Kubernetes.

• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).

• GraphQL, message queues, or event-driven architecture.

• Next.js, monorepo tooling, or micro-frontend experience.

• Exposure to secure coding practices and application security testing.
