Expert, Design Management

Job Purpose:

Represent the Developer in managing the design process from early stage (pre-design) through construction.

This role is responsible for defining design direction, developing design brief, and leading design consultants, ensuring all design outputs align with project objectives, product positioning, budget, timeline and constructability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead design management for assigned project(s) from pre-design to construction stage.

- Work with HOD and internal teams to define:

+ Project objectives

+ Design brief

+ Product positioning & concept direction

- Manage and control all design consultants (Architecture, Structure, MEP, etc.).

- Drive and challenge design solutions, especially at concept and layout stage, ensuring alignment with developer’s requirements.

- Establish and manage design deliverables, timelines and design management plan.

- Review and control all design submissions, drawings and reports from consultants.

- Coordinate across disciplines to ensure integration between Architecture, Structure and MEP.

- Manage design progress, consultant performance and reporting.

- Coordinate with QS to ensure design is aligned with project budget.

- Support design approval process (HOD, Chairman, EXCO/BOD).

- Monitor design risks, variations and change control throughout the project lifecycle.

- Participate in construction stage to ensure design intent is properly executed.

Yêu cầu công việc

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning or related field.

- 8–12 years of experience in architectural design / design management.

- Strong preference for candidates with developer-side experience.

- Experience in high-rise or large-scale projects is required.

- Background from reputable design consultancies is a plus.

- Strong understanding of:

+ Concept design & layout planning

+ Design process from concept to construction

+ Structure & MEP coordination

- Ability to define design direction and lead consultants, not only review drawings.

- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.

- Good awareness of cost, constructability and value engineering.

- Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM is a plus.
