ABOUT THE JOB

I. General information:

- Job Title: Production Assistant

- Report to: Steel Fabrication & Coating Manager

- Working Location: Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Ba Ria & Vung Tau Province, Vietnam (Shuttle bus will be provided from 3 locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa City, and Vung Tau City)

II. Summary Of The Role

This position is responsible for collecting, validating, and managing data inputs required for industrial engineering activities such as capacity planning, line balancing, productivity analysis, and cost modeling. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of data used to optimize manufacturing processes and improve operational efficiency in the given discipline.

III. Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Data Collection & Management

• Gather production data including cycle time, manpower allocation, machine utilization, and process flow.

• Maintain and update IE databases and systems with accurate and timely information.

• Validate input data to ensure consistency and reliability for analysis.

2. Process & Productivity Support

• Support IE team in line balancing, capacity planning, and productivity improvement projects.

• Monitor and analyze production performance against standards.

• Assist in developing standard time calculations and work measurement studies (e.g., time study)

3. System Input & Reporting

• Input and maintain data in IE systems (e.g. Microsoft AX/D365, SAP, MES, or internal planning tools).

• Prepare reports and dashboards related to efficiency, labor utilization, and production output.

• Ensure all IE-related data is aligned with actual shop floor conditions.

4. Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with production, planning, and quality teams to collect and verify data.

• Communicate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

• Participate in cross-functional meetings for process improvement initiatives.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Identify data gaps and propose improvements in data collection processes.

• Support Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives by providing accurate input data.

• Assist in automation of data entry processes where possible.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis (fresh graduates may be considered).

• Strong data analysis and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.).

• Familiarity with IE tools (time study, line balancing, capacity planning).

• Knowledge of ERP/MES systems is a plus.

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork.

• Ability to work with large datasets and meet deadlines.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
