Production Planner

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Job Title: Production Planner

2. Report to: Operations Director

3. Working Location: Trelleborg Vietnam Factory - Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Ba Ria & Vung Tau Province, Vietnam (Shuttle bus will be provided from 3 locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa City, and Vung Tau City).

II. SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

- The Production Planner is responsible for the high-level planning of prospect and live project deliverables to ensure project delivery performance is optimized in consideration of business financial targets and customer satisfaction.

III. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning:

• Establish baseline schedules for key “pipeline” projects.

• Provide feedback to sales on project lead times based on resource and factory loading.

• Maintain a consolidated Project plan detailing all major deliverables for “in progress” and sales “pipeline” projects.

• Working with relevant department leads to review progress against agreed deliverables relating to:

o Key Project procurement activities.

o Major Engineering deliverables.

o Major Manufacturing milestones

o Identify changes in work scope in the project plan.

• Work with department leads and Project teams to priorities activities and resolve bottlenecks with project deliverables.

• Escalate to management where delays have the potential to result in financial damages and or negatively impact customer satisfaction.

Forecasting and Capacity Planning:

• Prepare short and long-term resource allocation and capacity plans based on the requirements to support “in progress” projects and key projects in the sales “pipeline”.

• Maintain an inventory forecast for key components and finished goods considering the

demand for “in progress” projects and key projects in the sales “pipeline”.

General:

• Prepare and present regular internal and external project reports for management which clearly identify:

- Project delivery performance, highlighting any slippage against baseline plans.

- Risks to delays in major milestones.

- Capacity bottlenecks.

• Maintaining planning system data to assure highest possible level of data integrity

• Training employees on tools and processes to ensure project continuity and completeness.

Technical/Systems Expert:

• Works with project staff to maintain planning and demand data within the ERP system.

• MS Project technical expert, supporting functions in planning.

• Proficient level in MS Excel

• Knowledge of Visual Basic and Macro programming is advantageous.

• Experience in Project or Supply Chain planning.

• Certificate or Diploma in Planning or Project Management seen as advantageous.

• Experience in project environment preferred.

• Experience in the following or equivalent seen as beneficial :

- ERP/MRP systems - preferably ERP D365.

- MS Project, MS Access.
