Business Title: Principle Specialist, Trade Compliance

Work Location: NHON TRACH 1, DONG NAI

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB:

We are seeking an experienced Trade Compliance professional to lead and oversee all trade compliance activities for Coherent Vietnam. This role ensures full compliance with Vietnamese and international import/export regulations while partnering closely with Global Trade Compliance, Customs, and internal stakeholders to minimize regulatory risks and support business operations.

- Lead and manage the Trade Compliance program for Coherent Vietnam.

- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese and international import/export regulations.

- Manage customs compliance, including HS classification, customs valuation, duty optimization, and Free Trade Agreements (FTA).

- Oversee export compliance activities, including export licensing, restricted party screening, and export control requirements.

- Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impacts.

- Conduct compliance audits, investigations, and risk assessments.

- Develop and implement trade compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.

- Deliver trade compliance training to cross-functional teams.

- Act as the primary liaison with Customs authorities, government agencies, customs brokers, and Global Trade Compliance.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance processes.

- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.

- 9+ years of experience in Trade Compliance, Customs Compliance, Import & Export Compliance, or Global Trade -Compliance within multinational manufacturing companies.

- Strong knowledge of:

Vietnamese Customs regulations

Import & Export regulations

HS Classification

Customs Valuation

Free Trade Agreements (FTA)

Export Control & Licensing

- Experience working with government authorities and customs brokers.

- Experience conducting compliance audits and risk assessments.
