Technical Trainer - Timber Construction (Good English)

The Technical Trainer is responsible for delivering and continuously improving technical training programs to build technical capability and job readiness for employees. The role focuses primarily on technical and software training within the Training & Development framework.

This position ensures effective knowledge transfer through well-designed training content, facilitation, and assessment. The Technical Trainer collaborates with relevant stakeholders to align training with job requirements, learner progression, and business needs, while contributing to the overall quality and effectiveness of technical training.

Roles, Responsibilities & Typical Activities

1. Develop, maintain, and deliver technical training content and materials for General Induction, Software Induction, and relevant technical programs, aligned with learner level and job requirements.

2. Facilitate technical training sessions using appropriate instruction and facilitation methods to ensure learner engagement and effective knowledge transfer.

3. Plan and manage training schedules, class plans, and agendas to ensure timely and efficient training delivery.

4. Track, maintain, and report training data including learner progress, course completion, and assessment results.

5. Assess learner knowledge and technical competency through tests, practical exercises, and observation; provide timely feedback to support capability development.

6. Evaluate training effectiveness based on learner performance, feedback, and training outcomes, and recommend improvement actions where needed.

7. Contribute to the development and maintenance of Practical Induction content and guidelines to support trainees’ readiness for real project environments.

8. Collaborate with line managers, technical teams, and relevant stakeholders to ensure training content reflects actual job requirements and supports on-the-job performance.

9. Research and apply appropriate teaching methodologies, learning tools, and technologies to continuously improve technical training delivery.

10. Participate in team projects, cross-functional initiatives, and continuous improvement activities within the Training & Development function.

11. Demonstrate openness to contributing to broader learning initiatives within the Training & Development framework when appropriate, while maintaining technical training as the primary focus.

12. Perform other reasonable duties aligned with technical training and organizational needs as assigned.

Yêu cầu công việc

Qualifications/Experience:

• Minimum 02 years working in Timber Construction industry

• Experience in using MiTek software (Sapphire, Pamir, 20/20) is an advantage

• Experience in training, coaching, or knowledge sharing.

• English level: CEFR B1 or equivalent.

Professional Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to explain concepts clearly to different learner levels.

• Ability to prepare, deliver, and assess technical training effectively.

• Good communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

• Ability to work effectively with colleagues, learners, trainers, and line managers.

• Learner-focused and quality-oriented mindset in training delivery.
