Job description Summary

A factory supply chain and production planner coordinates material availability, factory capacity, and manufacturing schedules to turn customer demand into finished goods on time.

• Reports to: Head of production

• Job Category: Indirect / Direct

KEY Responsibilities

1. Demand and Capacity Alignment: Review sales forecasts and orders, then check if machines, labor, and space can handle the workload.

2. Material Planning: Track raw materials inventory and raise purchase requests or orders so the assembly line never runs out.

3. Production Scheduling: Create master and daily manufacturing schedules, setting exact start and finish dates for each product line.

4. Sequence Optimization: Arrange work orders to reduce machine setup and changeover times, lowering factory costs.

5. Cross-Functional Communication: Work closely with procurement, sales, warehouse, and shop floor teams to fix bottlenecks or material delays.

Additional Responsibilities

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data trends, forecast errors, and inventory levels.

• Software Expertise: Hands-on experience with SAP systems specialized production scheduling tools.

• Quick response time when suppliers fail to deliver or machines break down.

• English proficiency

• SAP/ Microsoft office

Specific Skills & Knowledge

• Computer knowledge: MS Word and Excel, SAP experience is preferred.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English
