Key Responsibilities:

1. Structural Design:

• Design ship structures – hull and foundations – at the concept, basic, and functional design levels.

• Perform structural calculations using empirical formulae from Classification Regulations as well as first principles.

• Prepare structural drawing packages for submission to Classification Societies, under the guidance of the Project Manager and senior engineers.

• Prepare weight estimates with a focus on structural weight calculations.

2. Collaboration:

• Work effectively within team environments, both within the office and across global teams.

• Share ideas, concerns, and solutions openly with team members.

• Complete assignments on time, adapting to changes in goals or priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

3. Problem-Solving:

• Analyze and reflect on observations and experiences to assist in solving problems.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline.

• Experience: More than 2 years of experience in a shipbuilding company or relevant industry.

• Technical Expertise:

o Basic knowledge of Classification Society Rules, Industry Regulations, Codes, and other relevant standards.

o Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (2D Drafting), and 3D Modelling software.

• Skills & Competencies:

o Effectively convey key information in a clear and timely manner.

o Fluent in both written and spoken English.

o Adapt behavior sand approaches appropriately based on different situations.

o Willing to be mentored and coached by a senior engineer.

• Other requirements:

o Legally authorized to work in the job location.

o Willing to travel abroad for short-term assignments.
