Senior Sourcing Merchandiser

1. JOB PURPOSE / MỤC ĐÍCH CÔNG VIỆC

-Create and deliver an inspirational product range that meets the needs of our customers.

-Drive sales, margin, and market share across all channels, delivering vendor contributions, rebate, and retail price index targets through strong vendor partnerships.

-Develop and execute sourcing strategies, negotiate, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

-Manage the performance of specific subcategories and relevant vendor relationships. Offer quality options to help maintain the company's reputation as a comprehensive home improvement retailer, attracting repeat customers and fostering brand loyalty. This role has a direct impact on profitability, customer satisfaction, and their DIY project experiences.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / TRÁCH NHIỆM CHÍNH

Strategic Sourcing:

-Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends.

-Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and opportunities for cost savings.

-Develop and manage sourcing budgets and track performance against targets.

Supplier Management:

-Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

-Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, ensuring favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms.

-Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.

Procurement Operations:

-Manage the procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring timely and accurate execution.

-Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

-Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Collaboration and Communication:

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, operations, and finance.

-Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Provide regular updates and reports on sourcing performance.

New Business Development:

-Implement the priorities of the buying office.

-Work directly with the triangular team in developing robust and lasting relationships to drive better/more informed decisions.

-Support the creation of a vendor-level strategy through a combination of new supplier discovery activity and benchmarking.

-Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors to deliver product development and margin plans.

Yêu cầu công việc

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Educational / Years of professional experience: Bachelor's degree. 3+ years of experience in sourcing & procurement, retail experience preferred.

Specialized requirements – Qualifications

-Strong negotiation skills.

-Excellent sourcing experience in other South East Asian Countries;

-Strong product knowledge in Homelife product categories (eg. Home Décor, Furniture, Planter, Lighting, cushion, pet)

-Analytical and problem-solving skills

-Excellent communication & influencing skills

-Strong abilities in planning & implementing strategies

Australian market knowledge is a plus

Language skills: Fluent written and spoken English, mandarin is a plus
