Senior Software Engineer – Backend

Position Purpose: Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-quality backend solutions by collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital banking platforms and services.
Responsibilities: As a backend engineer, you will be working within a specific problem where you will design, develop, and deploy backend services with a focus on scalability, high availability, and low latency.
Collaborate with customers, Product Owners, Solution Architects, and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver practical solutions.
Drive the efficient delivery of change through analysis, definition, and documentation of requirements whilst identifying potential solutions using agile delivery frameworks.
Solve complex technical and business problems and learn new technologies and frameworks.
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
Leverage AI tools to improve development productivity while ensuring code quality, security, and maintainability.

Requirements:1. Must have5+ years of backend software development experience.
Strong experience with Java/Spring Boot, Python, or equivalent backend technologies.
Solid understanding of microservices, REST APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud-native development.
Strong customer-facing communication with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with sound engineering judgment.
Experience with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve engineering productivity.
Strong ownership mindset, adaptability, and good English communication skills.2. Nice to haveExperience with Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS, and event-driven architecture.
Experience in banking or financial services.
Experience with automated testing and DevOps practices.
Experience with AI-assisted software development, prompt engineering, or AI agent frameworks.
Experience with Spec-Driven Development / AI Spec-Driven Engineering is a strong plus.
