Senior Quality, Automation & Testing Engineer

Work Location: 2A – 1.F1, Tran Phu Street, Nhon Trach I Industrial Park, Dong Nai City, Vietnam.

Basic Function of the Job:

- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for measurement and testing equipment in manufacturing operations.

- Develop and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, machine control, and automated test systems.

- Develop control and test software using Python, LabVIEW, C/C++, or equivalent programming languages.

- Integrate sensors, data acquisition systems, actuators, motion control, machine vision, and industrial communication protocols.

- Analyze measurement and testing processes to improve accuracy, repeatability, cycle time, reliability, and equipment uptime.

- Modify, upgrade, and optimize existing test systems, fixtures, measurement equipment, and automation hardware/software.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for automation and measurement system failures.

- Apply MSA, calibration, validation, and equipment qualification methodologies to ensure measurement reliability.

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to reduce downtime and improve process capability.

- Manage automation projects, including technical specifications, timeline, cost, resources, equipment installation, and commissioning.

- Coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and NPI teams on measurement requirements and automation projects.

- Work with equipment vendors and suppliers on technical solutions, troubleshooting, system integration, and upgrades.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, validation reports, SOPs, and work instructions.

- Support audits, validation activities, and technical problem-solving for complex manufacturing issues.

- Bachelor's Degree in Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or related technical disciplines; Master's Degree is an advantage.

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 3 years with a Master's Degree, preferably within a multinational manufacturing environment.

- Strong hands-on experience with PLC programming such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent platforms.

- Programming experience with Python, LabVIEW, C/C++, or similar languages.

- Strong knowledge of measurement systems, sensors, data acquisition, and automated testing equipment.

- Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, or equivalent.

- Hands-on knowledge of HMI/SCADA, motion control, actuators, machine vision, or robotics is highly preferred.

- Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA), calibration, equipment validation, and quality standards.

- Exposure to Industry 4.0, IoT, smart factory, or manufacturing digitalization is an advantage.

- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above is an advantage.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis capabilities.

- Good English communication skills with the ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
