Senior Project Engineer

OVERVIEW:

• Create logical project plan, monitor project progress and update project plan.

• Drive legacy projects from tooling start to MP start.

• Drive NPD projects from prototype to MP start.

• Drive OEM to complete key milestone (tooling, FOT, EB, MB and MP) on time, on quality and on cost.

• Follow up design review, DFMEA’s, KPI’s, product specifications, Tooling DFM, EB building, JIRA issues and action plan, DQTP testing, Product compliance.

• Follow up ECN activities for VA/VE.

• Coordinate line extension projects with internal & OEMs to meet launch plan.

• Work with team to qualify local suppliers to for cost down and localization.

• Knowledge and experience to develop designs that are functionally complete in a timely manner.

• Summarizing the actual project status to Project manager & cross function team.

• Lead Project Engineer when needed.

Skills:

• Previous experience of household appliance or floor care product project management, preferred

• Knowledge of plastic part design & basic concept of tooling structure and molding process.

• Understanding for regulation standards such as UL, IEC and chemical requirement-ROHS, REACH, etc.

• Familiar with MS office tools, with good commend for software Word / Excel / MS Project.

• Rich project management concept & skills.

• Good communication skill and know how to work with suppliers and internal departments to get required output.

• Good analytical skills, quick learning ability, good team spirit, target-oriented working style.

• Professional and positive attitude, self-motivated, well organized, diligent.

• Fluent English in writing and speaking for communication essential, Mandarin would also be an advantage

• PMP Certification would be an advantage.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in small electrical appliance or floorcare products project management.

• 3+ years’ experience in factory Engineering department, working from Concept to production and VA/VE will be a plus.

• University Degree in a subject relevant to the position is preferable—Engineering, mechanical design etc.

• Proactive, hardworking, self-motivation.

• Can work under pressure and different time zone.

• Can work independently with limited supervision.

Travel Requirements: Be flexible for domestic and international travel in short notice.
