Senior Production Planner

The work location will be at the factory:

Workshop A4, A5, Ready Built Factory at Plot T4 area, Expanded Long Hau Industrial Park, Can Giuoc Village, Tay Ninh Province

Shoefabrik Manufacturing Vietnam is looking for an experienced Senior Production Planner to join our growing Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end production planning, optimizing factory capacity, and ensuring on-time delivery for both sample and bulk production. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional coordination, and a solid understanding of footwear manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Develop weekly and monthly production plans based on customer forecasts and confirmed orders.

• Analyze factory capacity, manpower, and production resources to create feasible production schedules.

• Prepare detailed production plans for all manufacturing processes, including Cutting, Stitching, Lasting, Assembly, and Packing.

• Coordinate production priorities to ensure customer delivery commitments are achieved.

• Confirm realistic production and ex-factory dates in collaboration with Production and Purchasing teams.

Production Execution & Coordination

• Monitor daily production performance against plan and adjust schedules when necessary.

• Identify production bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and potential delivery risks, then coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.

• Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality, Development, and Customer Service to ensure smooth production flow.

• Monitor material and component readiness and proactively resolve shortages to prevent production interruptions.

• Coordinate sample production schedules to support development milestones and customer timelines.

Shipment & Delivery Planning

• Coordinate shipment planning and ex-factory schedules in line with production completion.

• Ensure production, quality inspections, and packing activities are aligned with shipment requirements.

• Communicate planning updates and delivery changes to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare regular production planning reports, capacity utilization analysis, delivery performance, and planning dashboards.

• Analyze production performance and recommend improvements to planning processes and factory efficiency.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, capacity utilization, and on-time delivery performance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in Production Planning within the footwear manufacturing industry.

• Proven experience in planning both sample development and bulk production.

• Strong knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes, production scheduling, capacity planning, and factory operations.

• Experience using ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel for production planning and reporting.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities with the capability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
