Shoefabrik Manufacturing Vietnam (SFM) is seeking an experienced Pattern Master (Senior Upper Engineer) to join our growing footwear manufacturing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled footwear pattern engineer who is passionate about transforming innovative designs into production-ready products. You will play a critical role in developing high-performance footwear by working closely with our Design, Development, Costing, Tooling, and Production teams while mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 2D and 3D upper patterns using industry-leading CAD software.

• Create taped shells, mean forms, and production-ready pattern layouts.

• Translate design concepts into manufacturable upper constructions.

• Prepare DXF files, sewing guides, grading, and technical documentation.

• Lead prototype evaluations, fit validation, and engineering refinements.

• Collaborate with Sample Room, Development, Tooling, Costing, and Production teams throughout the product development process.

• Ensure pattern accuracy and production readiness across all commercialization stages.

• Drive digital engineering improvements and sustainable pattern optimization.

• Mentor and support junior Pattern Engineers with technical guidance and best practices.

• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and digital libraries.

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Footwear Manufacturing, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum 6 years' experience in footwear pattern engineering or upper engineering, preferably within performance or athletic footwear.

• Strong knowledge of upper construction, lamination, stitching, bonding, and footwear manufacturing processes.

• Advanced proficiency with footwear CAD software such as Crispin Engineer, Shoemaster, RomansCAD, iCAD, or equivalent.

• Ability to independently manage technical development projects from concept to production.

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Good English communication skills (Mandarin is an advantage).
