BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB

Support production transfer from Wuxi site to Đồng Nai factory. Lead the product maintenance and project management technical supports of high-end optical module, coordinate on product maintenance such as BOM, Work instruction and visual SPEC documentation control, working closely with project leader on improvement o yield, touch time and cost target setting. Coordinate on PMP flow and cost upgrade based on improvement; Yield monitoring and failure analysis. Coordinate test & process engineer to solve major technical and improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Product Lifecycle management & MP technical oversight — 30%

• Lead process engineering projects for 800G 2x400G BBLC optical modules in Vietnam, focusing on product transfer first. Then monitoring ,optimization, as well as yield improvement.

• Collaborate with NPI and R&D and cross-functional teams to complete product transfer from pilot production to mass production, ensuring stable mass production and supporting continuous product upgrade as R&D and PLM’s request

2. Production issue resolution, root cause analysis — 20%

• Collect and analyse product data including yield performance, parameter distribution, SPC and DOE data, and utilize analytical tools to drive insights on complex process issues and drive root cause resolution

• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and implement effective corrective/preventive actions to minimize recurrence. Perform failure analysis (FA), including analysing testing data, visual inspection result and applying external laboratory methods such as SEM, EDM and FIB.

• Develop cost down plan to continuously reduce the production cost and ensure the output target

3. Continuous product optimization & feedback integration — 20%

• Develop and implement product improvement strategies to support the ramp-up.

• Drive the adoption of advanced process technologies and methodologies to maintain competitive advantage

4. Documentation & cross-functional collaboration — 10%

• Establish and maintain product documentation, BOM and Drawings and coordinate with cross-functional teams. Support and coordinate with PLM and QA teams with the lifecycle control.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve cross-departmental technical issues and support continuous improvement

(Work closely with planners, operations, PQE, process and test teams to solve abnormal shipment issues such as manufacturing control systems, equipment, databases, direct materials, indirect materials, or operator performance in mass production)

• Support material qualification activities together with R&D, QA and process teams.

5.Supervision, Management and Leadership — 15%

• Lead the product engineering team, including personnel recruitment, performance tracking and capacity improvement.

• Conduct systematic on-the-job training for new team members.

• Be responsible for team personnel recruitment and interviews.

6. Others — 5%

• Assigned tasks by line manager.

Note: This position requires shift-based work.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering (optoelectronics is primary; optical, electrical, or a related field is acceptable)

Experience

• 7+ years of experience of product engineering experience (Optical module preferred)

• Strong understanding of optical module working principles, manufacturing processes, defect analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).

• Proven experience in resolving product issues, leading cross-functional projects and achieving significant process improvements.
