GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a Senior Merchandiser with strong capability to manage end-to-end merchandising processes across Knit, Woven, and Accessories categories.

This role requires deep expertise in product development, sourcing, costing, production planning, and execution, with hands-on experience in managing the full lifecycle from concept to shipment for US & EU markets under FOB business models.

JOB DUTIES:

1. End-to-End Merchandising Ownership

• Take full ownership of the merchandising process from product development to shipment.

• Manage and drive alignment across customers, suppliers, internal teams, and factories.

• Ensure all milestones are achieved in line with Time & Action (T&A) plans.

2. Product Development (Knit, Woven)

• Develop and control seasonal T&A calendars based on product category and complexity.

• Work closely with customers, design, and technical teams on product specifications, feasibility, and development direction.

• Coordinate with fabric and trim suppliers on sampling, pricing, and lead times.

• Manage development for a wide range of products: Knit & Woven garments

3. Sourcing & Costing

• Source and evaluate mills, trims suppliers, and factories for best cost and capability.

• Lead cost negotiation and cost engineering to meet target prices.

• Prepare and manage costing sheets with multiple pricing options.

• Implement dual/multi-sourcing strategies for risk mitigation.

4. Sample & Technical Coordination

• Drive sample development across all stages (fit, proto, SMS, PP, TOP).

• Work closely with technical team to ensure construction feasibility and quality standards.

• Track and manage sample status, approvals, and risk points.

• Ensure all submissions are accurate and on time.

5. Material & Bulk Production Management

• Manage material bookings in advance and ensure timely approval of lab dips and strike-offs.

• Minimum 6+ years of merchandising experience, covering Knit, Woven.

• Proven ability to manage end-to-end merchandising processes independently.

• Strong experience in FOB business for US & EU markets.

• Solid knowledge of:

o Product development

o Sourcing & vendor management

o Costing & negotiation

• Experience working with factories, mills, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

• Background in trading companies, agents, or buying offices is a plus.

• Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Fluency in English is required.
