Summary

The Senior Manager, Operations leads the in-country execution of Living Spaces' Vietnam operating strategy, building and directing the team that owns sourcing, merchandising, planning, quality control, and compliance. In partnership with the Country Manager, this role drives supplier relationships, product quality, cost and margin initiatives, and operational efficiency — transitioning Vietnam from a support office to a fully capable Direct Sourcing Center.


Team Leadership & Build-Out

• Build, lead, and develop the in-country operations team across sourcing, merchandising, planning, and compliance

• Establish clear ownership, decision rights, and accountability for each function

• Mentor and grow local talent to deepen in-country expertise and reduce reliance on remote support

• Advocate for employee development, engagement, and a culture of inclusion and collaboration


Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and open-book costing

• Lead supplier rationalization and increase leveraging of strategic suppliers across factory-direct relationships

• Expand and diversify the factory network to support capacity growth

• Deliver on margin goals by driving cost and product development initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional leaders


Merchandising

• Support integrated merchandising aligned to US category strategy

Sourcing & Product Compliance

• Foster a culture of protecting the Living Spaces brand through responsibly sourced, quality merchandise

• Support compliance with international fair trade, labor, and regulatory standards across products and suppliers

• Develop relationships with service providers for factory and product assessment, testing, and inspection

• Manage product testing schedules to meet product and program timelines

• Drive quality, sustainability, and risk-management initiatives that evolve with business and industry standards


Planning & Supply Chain

• Improve forecast accuracy, material readiness, and factory allocation

• Advance digital supply chain visibility across the operation

• Develop processes and operations that enable efficiency, scale, and productivity


Compliance Ownership

• Own first-mile quality assurance, testing, and supplier accountability

• Ensure regulatory and claims compliance across the supplier base

Governance, Collaboration & Communication

• Serve as the primary operational liaison between Vietnam and US teams

• Manage workload transition from US to in-country functions

• Foster positive communication within and across disciplines

• Report on KPIs, milestones, and roadmap progress to leadership

• 8–10 years in operations, sourcing, or supp

Yêu cầu công việc

Required

• 8–10 years in operations, sourcing, or supply chain, including leadership experience

• Experience in furniture

• Working knowledge of import/export, manufacturing relationships, and quality control/testing processes

• Knowledge of international labor and regulatory standards and supplier performance schemes

• Proven team-building and cross-cultural leadership experience

• Strong background in supplier negotiation, costing, and quality management

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence mutually agreeable outcomes

• Ability to balance "big picture" strategy with a detail-oriented approach

• Fluency in English; Vietnamese strongly preferred


Education

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college in Merchandising, Product Development/Design, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.


Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Working knowledge of Merchandising, Design, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software is preferred.
