Senior ELV / ICT Site Engineer (Supervision)

JOB PURPOSE

Provide hands-on technical supervision of ICT installation works on site, ensuring cabling, containment, active equipment, and system installations are executed per approved design, applicable standards, and project schedule. Act as the day-to-day link between the ICT Delivery Manager, site contractors, and QA/QC processes — catching design-vs-site discrepancies early and keeping installation quality and progress on track.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Supervise daily ICT installation activities on site: containment (trays, conduits, ducts), structured cabling (copper/fibre), racks, active equipment, CCTV, access control, PA/VA, and other subsystems

• Verify installation work complies with approved IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings, cable schedules, and BoQs

• Identify and log discrepancies between design and site conditions (clashes, missing containment, access issues) and escalate to the Delivery Manager

• Conduct inspection and test plan (ITP) checks at defined hold/witness points (containment installation, cable pulling, termination, rack build)

• Perform or witness cable testing (fibre OTDR, copper certification) and maintain test result records

• Raise and track NCRs (non-conformance reports) for substandard work; verify close-out

• Coordinate daily with civil, MEP, and BHS site teams to resolve interface clashes (e.g., containment routing through structural elements, power availability for ICT racks)

• Attend site coordination meetings and toolbox talks; represent ICT scope-of-work at the working level

• Liaise with subcontractor site supervisors/foremen on work sequencing and manpower planning

• Maintain daily site logs, progress photos, and as-built markups

• Update installation progress trackers against the master ICT schedule (P6-aligned)

• Support preparation of weekly/monthly progress reports for the Delivery Manager

• Assist with Installation, Testing & Commissioning (IT&C) activities for ICT subsystems

• Support pre-commissioning checks and integrated systems testing (IST) coordination with other disciplines

• Ensure ICT site works comply with project HSE requirements; report unsafe conditions or practices

• Ensure subcontractor crews hold required site inductions, PPE, and permits-to-work

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 7 years of site engineering experience in ICT/structured cabling installation, ideally on aviation, transportation, or large infrastructure projects

• Working knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/ISO, BICSI) and hands-on familiarity with cable testing equipment (OTDR, Fluke certifiers)

• Ability to read and mark up IFC drawings, cable schedules, and rack elevations

• Experience with site documentation tools (progress trackers, NCR logs, ITP checklists)

• BICSI RCDD/Installer certification a plus

• Decent English is a must
