JOB PURPOSE

Define GBIA's eCommerce go-to-market strategy within the Customer Experience programme and drive its execution once approved. The role turns market opportunity into a prioritised, commercially validated eCommerce model spanning proposition, fulfilment and technology, then into an investable business case and delivery roadmap that secures GBIA's direct guest relationship across passenger and non-passenger areas.

We welcome senior candidates from both Tech-heavy and Business/Commercial backgrounds.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Opportunity sizing & commercial model

▪ Validate the $/O&D-pax benchmark; size demand by category (DF, luxury, F&B) and arena (A1/A2/A3); prioritise categories and arenas for phase 1

▪ Confirm the in-house marketplace model and map ownership across the value chain; define eCommerce commercial arrangements with DF-operator, retailers and F&Bs - set the revenue/margin model and single-platform rights

▪ Deliverables: sized opportunity and prioritised roadmap; operating model and DF engagement framework

Proposition, fulfilment & technology design

▪ Define the CVP by segment and embed eCommerce into the E2E guest journey; detail use cases (departure gift, arrival pickup, gate F&B); specify pre-order windows, loyalty and CTAs

▪ Design the fulfilment model (pickup points, dark store, gate delivery, after-sales); set SLAs and operator responsibilities; address A3 cross-border / FEZ conditions

Define platform scope (build vs buy, marketplace capabilities); specify the guest data platform, integration, auth and consent; map data exchange with the ecosystem and partners

▪ Deliverables: CVP and use-case blueprints; fulfilment and SLA framework; target architecture and build/buy recommendation

Business case, roadmap & execution

▪ Consolidate the financial model (investment, revenue, phasing); produce the GTM roadmap, org/resourcing and governance; prepare execution kickoff on approval

▪ Deliverables: business case, roadmap and execution plan

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's or Master's in Business, Economics, Engineering or Data/Analytics

• 5+ years in strategy, commercial, product or top-tier consulting, ideally in eCommerce/marketplace, retail, travel-retail/duty-free or aviation commercial

• Proven record taking a proposition from opportunity sizing through business case to execution

• Hands-on with market sizing, financial modelling, operating-model design and build-vs-buy evaluation

• Exposure to guest data platforms, digital journeys and loyalty is a strong plus

• Advanced analytics & data storytelling (Excel/BI, PowerPoint)
