About the company and project

Erria (Nasdaq First North Copenhagen: ERRIA) is a Danish maritime group with five companies, including Erria Container Services (ECS) and Mermaid Maritime Vietnam in HCMC. The group is building an AI-driven top-of-funnel sales engine — joining purchased maritime market data with the group's own emails, CRM knowledge and call transcripts to detect buying triggers and hand qualified leads to its business units. This is a greenfield, two-person founding AI team based in HCMC, employed by ECS, reporting directly to the Group CEO in Denmark. High autonomy, high visibility, modern stack.

The role — the anchor hire

Owns the entire data and platform layer: ingestion pipelines for group email (Microsoft Graph), CRM exports, transcribed sales calls and external maritime data APIs; EU-hosted cloud infrastructure, security and access controls; and the core technical challenge — entity resolution joining public market signal (vessels, companies, people) to the group's private relationship data. Architects alone; no engineering manager above. The second engineer (AI Agent Engineer) builds on this foundation.

Your Skills and Experience

Must-have

• Proficient in English in all four skills.
• Experience: 5+ years software/data engineering, including meaningful production LLM work. (Nobody has 5 years of LLM tooling experience — we screen for total engineering depth plus recent LLM-first delivery.)
• Claude — required: Hands-on with Anthropic Claude: Claude API, tool use / MCP integrations, agentic workflows (e.g. Claude Code). Candidates must be able to walk through systems they have built with it.
• LLM-first mindset: Defaults to model-based approaches for extraction, classification and entity resolution — treats LLMs as the primary tool, not an add-on to traditional pipelines. Tested directly in the work sample.
• Platform skills: Production data pipelines; cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP, EU regions); judgment with messy, real-world data; security-conscious engineering.
• Working style: Able to own architecture end-to-end without supervision; documents as they build; professional working English (daily contact with Denmark).
