Senior Data Engineer (Databricks Environment)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our growing data team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures within our Databricks-based environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure reliable and efficient data solutions that drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large datasets

• Build and optimize data models to support analytics and reporting use cases

• Work with Databricks to develop scalable data processing solutions (e.g., Spark-based workloads)

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across all data pipelines

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and deployments

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of data systems

• Document data processes, models, and architecture

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field

• Work experience at least 7 years as data engineer

• Strong experience with Python, SQL and data querying

• Solid understanding of data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, normalization/denormalization)

• Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines

• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining ML and AI models.

• Experience working with Databricks and distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark)

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala)

• Good English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in agile development environments

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and modern data architectures (e.g., lakehouse)

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Exposure to data governance and security best practices
